Fruitful meetings with companies

We had the opportunity to organize a dozen meetings with a wide range of companies. Discussions were particularly fruitful with start-ups working on the challenges posed by rising sea levels, as well as companies from the pharmaceutical, cosmetics, aquaculture and digital sectors. The innovative projects presented demonstrated a strong desire to develop solutions to meet today's maritime and climate challenges.

Closer collaboration with the Carnot Network

The event also enabled us to strengthen our ties with our Carnot ARTS and Carnot STAR colleagues, with whom we shared many thoughts on the blue economy. The Carnot Network for the Blue Economy remains a priority for Carnot MERS, in terms of both research and innovation.

Support for start-ups and maritime innovation in the spotlight

Start-ups have shown a keen interest in the Carnot Network, contributing to our shared mission of innovation. Among the many projects discussed, some focused on climate hazard management, others on the future of aquaculture, or on the use of artificial intelligence to accelerate the maritime energy transition.

Carnot MERS featured prominently in official speeches

A highlight of the day was the speech by the French Minister for Research and Education, who was keen to mention Carnot MERS and Ifremer, underlining our commitment to innovation in the maritime sector. This recognition testifies to the relevance of our strategy of valorization and support for companies in the maritime sector.

In conclusion, this day was a great opportunity for the Carnot MERS team to get together, exchange ideas with colleagues and partners, and pursue our commitment to developing innovative solutions for the oceans.
