Test sites

SEM-REV
As Europe's leading offshore testing site, SEM-REV has all the offshore and onshore equipment needed to develop, validate and optimize MRE systems.
Saint-Anne du Portzic
This unique test station houses prototypes of innovative equipment, particularly for MREs, in close proximity to real conditions at sea.
Spectrometry ocean pole
Access to mass spectrometers dedicated to high-precision elemental and isotopic analysis of marine, geological and biological samples.
Wave tank Centrale Nantes
The size and capacity of this test facility for hydrodynamics and ocean engineering make it unique at academic level in France.
Deep wave tank Ifremer
The Brest wave basin is unique in its depth and volume of seawater. It reproduces realistic swell and wind conditions.
Wave flow tank Ifremer
This test infrastructure is used to study the behavior of underwater or surface craft in currents and swells.
Fishing equipment test tank
Enables the study of dragging gear (dredges, trawls, etc.) and standing gear (drift nets). It faithfully reproduces the movement of fishing gear on the seabed.
Hyperbaric test chambers
Large hyperbaric chambers to simulate the mechanical and thermal effects of underwater immersion at great depths.
Test tank submersibles
Designed for functional testing of submersibles of all sizes, including the Nautile, an 8 m long submarine.
