This experimental scheme is part of the Exceptional Scientific Investment Planapproved in October 2020 by the Ifremer’s Board of Directors, in order to accelerate and amplify the implementation of its strategic plan up to 2030 and to contribute to the objectives of the United Nations Decade of Ocean Sciences for Sustainable Development.

- EOLINK's latest-generation floating wind turbine to be tested on Centrale Nantes’ SEM-REV offshore test siteDecember 11, 2020On 3 December, the company EOLINK and Centrale Nantes formally agreed to install a 5MW floating wind turbine on the SEM-REV test site, off the coast from Le Croisic. Since hosting FLOATGEN, the first floating wind turbine in France on site from 2018, Centrale Nantes is pushing ahead and is set to welcome EOLINK shortly with its innovative and promising wind turbine prototype.

- A new research project on dynamic cables for floating MRE devices: OMDYN2February 26, 2018The OMDYN2 project - selected during the France Energies EMR ITE 2017 call for projects and with ANR (French National Research Agency) funding - was launched on 10 January. Following on from OMDYN1, Centrale Nantes is participating in the scientific management of the project, notably through the SEM-REV offshore test site, LHEEA teams and involvement of the GeM laboratory.
- A floating wind turbine tested in the Hydrodynamic and Ocean Engineering TankOctober 16, 2017 - October 27, 2017Within the framework of transnational access of the Marinet2 European project, Centrale Nantes facilities hosted a team from Rostock University to test a new concept of floating wind turbine.
